Morning all,

new member here with a problem with my J plate 2.0 190E.

It looks like i have a similar issue to many other people, but still need a bit of assistance please.

I've concluded that my viscous fan does not work and now, when in traffic, have to watch the temp guage very carefully. It hovers at the 80 mark when cruising but in traffic it doesn't take long to rise.

I'm totally skint at the moment due to new babies, so i need a real cheap fix for this guys. Could i get an electric fan from a breakers yard and fit that? Would i have to wire it up to a switch on the dash, or could it be on all the time?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Rog

Here a couple of tips.

On these forums there is a mine of information which you can access using the 'search' function.

If you read my post at the following link you will be able to sort (hopefully) and with a bit of luck will only cost £16 ish. Anyway the tests are easy peasy.

Let us know how you get on - and feel free to come back to me with any :?:
