- 2000 vito w638 2.0 petrol automatic
i have a 2000 vito 638 2.0 petrol auto it appears that the engine cooling fan doesn't cut in i did some tests i checked the fuse and relay mounted in near the fan all ok then i found that with ignition off i probed the relay coil and it clicked but no fan ?
i then noticed the power 12v and ground two pin plug i tested it for ground and
+12v i had +12v but no ground so i pulled the plug out checked on wiring loom side and had ground so i cleaned and slightly crimped the plug put it back then power probed the fan relay coil relay clicked fan ran ok but when engine is running you have to ground this pin of the relay coil then the fan comes on
i cannot find the coolant temperature switch or why it does not cut in van gets up to 90 degrees and sits there but earlier today the temp went up higher than 100 and the fan did not cut in also does not come on when the ac is turned on any help much appreciated
