Vito (638) Drivers Seat.

Does anyone know whether you can fit the drivers seat from the new shape Vito into a 2002 model it seems a much better seat and much more comfortable. I have replaced the outer edge seat cushion so many times now that it's getting boring as it splits in the same place every time then the seat frame cuts into your "arris". It was replaced once under warranty after only 8000k miles and it never last's more than 20000k miles.

i know this is an old topic, but just a bit of advice for you Chris, i had no end of problems with the seat cover splitting, then the seat frame cutting through the squab and into my butt, firstly i filed the seat frame edges down to take the sharpness off them, then i got an off cut piece of hessian backed carpet, cut to the size of the frame, then laid that with the hessian side on the wire supports, then put a new squab and seat cover on, result.... a far more comfortable seat, with no wear to the squab, one down side - it didn't cure the seat cover splitting, although that's more due to getting in and out of the van 50 or 60 times a day
