Vito diesel- cutting out?

Hi Folks, I have this problem when coming off the motorway. Dipping th e clutch to change down from 5th to 4th - the engine cuts! This is the only time it happens

I changed the fuel filter thinking this would cure but it happened again.:(

Any suggestiond welcomed..
