A different way of describing the vehicle, too much unrelated information for me. I’m interested in condition, mileage, extras, issues and maintenance.

Best of luck with the sale

I have to agree with BC, a lovely write up with a story line but too much info for me.
I think most people will read or dismiss an ad in a few seconds

What is it, how much is it and then extras, service history along with some good photos to show condition and the nice bits.
Hope it sells for you though

So far a few calls and 4 offers.
I stated not to make offers prior to viewing, as I feel any offer is pretty pointless and unreliable.
"I didn't expect that" or "I thought it would have" mean my accepting any offer and closing the sale just leaves me at risk of spending money on an advert that produces a no sale. The same reason I don't use 'auction'.

So £2K, then another person bids £3K, both rejected so second person ups to £3.8K, and now a £4k from a new person.

I have messages from 3 people wanting to travel distance (Cornwall being one) and view "with cash ready". The more intelligent and real world is one wanting an AA appraisal.

For a 14 y.o. motor that is far from perfect I'm a little surprised at the response, considering the price I pitched at.

    Sold and collected this eve.

The responses, including offers, were increasing. And not w/e yet.

The buyer rang about 2 minutes after I placed the ad'. Viewed 2 hours later, it took that long to drive.
Left a small deposit so essentially sold pending my getting the rest of the dosh.

I am surprised that the market for an old van, well specc'ed or not, is so buoyant. I accepted a modest reduction on what I consider to be a high asking price. For that I still have the bed base that will transfer to the Viano.
