Hi am new here , i currently have 2012 plate transporter but milage is getting high and think its time for a change, have been looking at vans in general to see whats about i would like to get something with a crew cab or add the 3 seats at a later date. Have never really looked at the vito’s before but saw the newer shape a 15 plate one and thought they looked so smart so i know have my heart on getting one, just a general question are they good for high milage as i have seen one that is on 140k? Also is there anything in particular to look out for on them ? Hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Mercedes will, in general if looked after, do crazy miles. In Corfu 90% of the taxis are Merc’s, many will 800,000km plus on them still working every day.

However fluids are key, make sure the engine and gearbox/drivetrain have had all their fluids regularly changed and servicing as a whole done well - indie is fine doesn’t have to be main dealer.

The lower powered ones have the Renault 1600cc engine (and front wheel drive), the more powerful ones have the Mercedes 2.2 (new ones 2.0) engine in them and rear wheel drive.
