If I turn my engine off I can't restart it until it has cooled right down. This can take 2 hours on a hot day. So I can't pop into a shop, turn off when refuelling and heaven help me if I ever stalled on an awkward junction.
Air leak in fuel pipe? Cam sensor? Any suggestions please?

Crank position sensor CPS, is the usual culprit on a hot engine.

Looks at the flywheel through the bell housing, so can be awkward to get to.

I'd guess it's the Camshaft sensor, had the same symptoms as you. It's a cheap & quick fix tbh

Yes. It turned out to be the camshaft sensor. Very cheap to replace and it only took a few minutes to whip out the old one and pop in a new one. Easy DIY job for anyone. Thanks.
