W numbers?

As a newcomer to Merc's can someone please tell me what W number my 07 CLK320 CDI Sport is?

By the way I've only done about 500 miles so far but the car seems fantastic.

I think you mean the letters that start the chassis number, for example wdb209,
means wdb:- worldwide, daimler, benz and 209 is the chassis designation for the new clk like yours.

W doesn't stand for worldwide. The first letter of a VIN is the country identifier. German manufacturers use W.

Do you mean the german manufactures use w, or where the cars are made? For example the ml is american made yet starts wdc163.

I presume you mean chassis/body type? Yours is a W209 - or an A209 being a convertible. The W means wagengestell or 'chassis'.
