It charged up within minutes , so I guess not the reason why I've thankfully lost Stop Start which must be down to a weak main battery .

Main battery I've charged about 4 times and is always 11.7V to start with and only ever gets to 12V , so we'll past it's prime but has no problem starting .

Looks like I'll have to take it out for a negative terminal clean and grease .

Anything special need doing ?

^ Nothing special should need doing after disconnecting that battery.
