I have a small fuel leak on the electric fuel pump at the back of my 1972 350SL. The leak appears through the plastic casing of the pump and only happens whilst the engine is running (when the pump is under pressure).

Does anyone know if the pump can be overhauled or if I need a replacement? Eurocarparts offer a replacement at around £230 which seems high to me, this also attracts a part exchange surcharge suggesting that its a recon unit rather than new.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks Andy.

Any comment on the cost of a new pump?

Mark.
