Hi all firstly as I'm a newbie not only to this forum but to Mercedes - I've owned many classics over the years but this is my first MB!

I've had a 1970 220 W115 for only a couple of weeks and have been blessed with a shattered windscreen....

I've got rid of all the mess and my insurance company have sourced a screen, but the fitting chap says I need to remove the black A-post trim pads and the ones at the leading edge of the headlining above the windscreen to get access.

Can someone advise me how to get them off without damaging anything - i.e. location of trim clips, safest place to lever, etc.?

Thanks in advance! :)

Thanks for that TV - what In should have added is to query whether the panels do in fact need removing or is the glass fitter mistaken?

Cheers!

2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
The trim 7 and 8 is the only parts to be removed,,use washing up liquid when putting it back.

We used to have special tools years ago for opening up the rubber channels
