W123 230E 1984 front seats

Hello,

the springs have gone on my drivers seat & the material on the back rest
has worn out in 1 place. Any ideas of where I can get new parts etc to fix this much appreciated.

Thanks I first tried ebay & found the same item as you found, however not sure if they will fit my car, as I am new to mercs.

You can go to a dealer and order up a new base! (£90 IIRC) or you can go to a breakers and find either a 124 or 126 and get the passenger seat bases off. The passenger seat is usually a lot less worn.

The 124, 126 passengers and drivers seat bases are the same (MB same part number as well!)

It takes a couple of hours to swap the bases over and that includes swaping the trim over, its funny you can never find the colour and trim the same as yours!

It makes quite a difference
