W123 230E Oil pressure

After replacing head gasket the oil pressure is up and down generally down was perfect--any ideas as to cause.

Are you sure the pressure is up and down or is it the gauge which is not reading accurately?

Who fitted the head gasket? Did they fit it the right side up?

W123 Oil pressure problem solved---cause ,a lump of Silistic sealer came loose from a previous attempt to seal the valve cover (previous owner) my mechanic found it when he stripped the pressure regulator the second time-just luck.the lesson only use oil soluable sealants .Thanks to all

How does the fuel guage indicate now. Is it always full scale or lower at idle?
