w123 280ce in need of new wheel arches

Hello - I'm new to the forum. I bought a 1983 silver 280ce a month ago & am spending a few quid tidying it up. My local bodyshop are eager to replace the rear wheel arches which are quite rusty. However, their search for the replacements, which they intend to rivet, then skim & paint, has proved fruitless. Apparently their usual supplier (Europarts?) only supply the arches for the 4 door model & they can't be sure whether they will fit. Does anyone know for sure whether the saloon version will be ok for my car or alternatively, can anyone suggest somewhere else that I might find them? Much appreciated, Dave, North London

hi the coupe /saloon and estate models are all the same so the ones from eurocarparts will fit.

"which they intend to rivet, then skim & paint". this is a real no no. if they do it this way, they will crack the paint in no time. they have to be welded on.
