w123 280ce rumbling

hi all, my first post on this forum and i have just bought a 280ce 1980. the car has issues but they are fixable. my problem is this, the car runs well and drives smoothly but both times ive been out in the car at the end of each trip im getting a constant rumbling in the car and also through the brake pedal under breaking. feels like a warped disk would but all of the time, and the car is fine to drive the rest of the time. battery is on its way out and not holding a charge for long if that may have any relation to the problem.

any ideas gratefully received

thanks for the reply malcolm. i will check out the mounts it does sound feasible. need a passenger door now if anyone is reading
