I have a 280TE which has a leaking sunroof on the passenger side. It also looks like the roof is starting to rust where it meets the roof rail.
Is this easily and economically repairable?

If water is coming into the car then that means that your tubes are blocked. In each corner of the frame a tube runs down to the cills to discharge the water. Clean out any leaves or other debris which may have blocked the the outputs. Then if you have access to an airline and a dust gun set it low and blow down the tube. If you don't then use an air line at a petrol station couples with a device used to blow up leather footballs.

The seals at either side can be replaced or you can do a home made job if you like using door or window seals from an abandoned motor vehicle. They basically onle keep the wind out. Water should pass through and trickle to the road via the tubes
