W123 performance stuff?

Hi,

Having got fed up with the ticking noise coming from my 280TE's engine I opened it uo to adjust the valves and found that one of the inlet cam lobes has been chopped off, leaving sharp edges and causing the noise.

Since I need to replace the cam and don't fancy paying over £100 for a replacement, I went looking for some performance options and found absolutely nothing.

Are there any performance upgrades for 280 engines? Are there any websites that can help? Any info would be a great help.

Good luck, I had a similar problem with our RX-7, now sold, it needed a new exhaust, local motor factors quoted £1,200+ :? for a standard one but got a custom stainless steel exhaust for £350 from them.
