W123 seat swap

Can anyone advise me whether it would be possible to swap the seats from a 1981 280E into a 1984 230E? If they would fit, would it be a difficult job requiring any specialist tools?

Should work,

rear seats: lift two catches to remove rear bench and then lift out back.

front seats: You'll need to remove bolts (10mm I think) by moving seats as far forward and as far back as possible. There are two at front and two at rear of seat, although the front seats are slightly different.

Don't adjust the seats once out of the car as this will give you problems lining up the holes again to refit.

Take the opportunity to grease the runners when you have the front seats out.
