    Hi guys,

I have tried every autofactor I can think of and no one seems to do a bush for the F/N/S tie rod.

I have twice been sent tracking rods labeled as Tie rods so there may be a terminology issue here, to me and the MOT tester a tie bar is the one that secures the suspension component to the body to stop lateral movement so in the W123 it is the thicker bar that goes from under the wishbone to the passenger footwell and the bush that sits in the cup on the body needs to be replaced.

I have the same issues for suppliers of half shafts here.

    Any help appreciated!

No image there, I eventually traced it through the MB main dealer and it is called a Brake Support Bar, armed with that and the MB part number GSF found a supplier for half the price of MB original.

Still no luck with half shafts

However I now need to know how to fit it had a try today and gave up.

There was a lot of confusion about the part and Mercedes terminology. I and the MOT tester call it a tie bar, what Mercedes call a tie bar I call a track rod :)
