Hi all!
I have an old (1985) MB W124 200 D.
I'm trying to find out what compression ratio is the engine supposed to have?
In all sites with technical data that I have found, it is stated it has to be 22:1 for a new engine.
I'm wondering - when does the compression ratio indicate that there are some serious problems with the engine? Whether when it lowers more than 19:1? What is the lower bound for the compression ratio in which the engine can work normally?
Thanks in advance
Beco
