Hi all,
How often these mounting need to be changed, assuming no accidents, normal drive, occasionally full load, otherwise 2 person/single driver.
I recently changed the engine mounting and had the chance to inspect the body frame mounting. They look beat up, but my mechanic said usually that get changed only after 20 years ... FYi, mine is 1991 and i doubt the previous owner has changed this mount. I do feel minor vibration to the body frame on road bump and potholes.
Side note. I recently changed the shock absorbers on the rear, they are oem bilstein, black. it was bouncy at first, then the week after, my tyre guy suggested nitrogen gas to inflate my tyres. I went ahead with nitrogen gas and notice the ride is now very nice compared to regular air. i dont know if u guys have similiar experience tho.
Anyway, i am looking to improve the ride, so back to the body frame mounting ... i am looking for ride comfort i can feel, hopefully to pacify the holes in my pocket after 4 body-frame mounting and labour job.
Any ideas? Experience?
Thanks.
