I need to replace the water pump, however, the car is fitted with a viscous fan coupling. The work shop manual says that a special Mercedes tool is required to help remove this. Has anyone any suggestions please or has anyone actually done the job?

I run a 300TE it that engine it is possiable to lock the Fan with a 4MM BOLT OR ROD But the Diesel apparently requires the special tool from Mercedes there not usually too pricey and certainly cheaper than EBay
hope this helps
