My 300 E (W124) only shows 40 Degs on the temp guage. My guess is the temp sensor (I changed the Stat, which I tested in a saucepan) Exhaust residue in the tailpipes looks a little dark , so I think maybe the temp is being mis-reported to the ECU. I think the sensor is the single pin device at the rear right of the head (black connector with dark green cable under the sheathing)
I see these are dirt cheap from GSF, but how do I remove the old one? There are no obvious hex flats etc, is it a simple straight pull?
