Hi everyone!
This is my first post here so I hope I get lucky...

I have a 300 TE -87 automatic with a leaking water pump. The local dealer wants close to 500$ (labour only) to swap it :!:
I'll do it myself.
Can anyone tell me how much that needs to be removed and if there's anything special to consider? :?
Car has clima control as well.

Thanx in advance

very simple job mate, your car has a timing chain so it wont need removing, if it has a serp belt "aux belt/fan belt" then the job is a walk over, post the facts on your car and ill get the data

Thanx Teky!

That was a good site as well with a lot of info.
I'm guessing that the radiator must be lifted out. Since it's a automatic, the germans has probably built in the ATF-oil cooler in the radiator, same as on AUDI and BMW.
Haven't checked what drive belt it has yet. Could any configuration make it impossible to fit it?
Teky, how about the newer C-series, a water pump on a C200, would that be a one beer job as well?
Don't like messing with timing belts unless I have to...
