W124 '95 - no air from centre vents

Hi
I love my W124 but have continual battles with the air con as readers of previous posts will know. Ok here is the latest - no air from the centre vents whatever way the dial is set.

I have read that the servos that control the heat distribution flaps can fail or become ineffective. Does anyone have experience of fixing or replacing them and was it successful , expensive , difficult to do. any URLs with pics or diagrams also would be appreciated.

any advice much appreciated.

try mercedesshop.com and their forum. A search there should turn up some help. My centre vents are broke too, no air-con to play with in my case, just cold outside air to block off.
