Hi,

I have got a cobra 7928 alarm / immobiliser and want to fit it to my wifes 1990 E230, it says in the instruction sheet it is capable of operating the total closure of a car. The car already has this function built in by means of holding the key in the locked position until all the windows and sunroof have closed, does anyone know where I can connect in to the existing total closure facility and hot to connect it into the central locking system.
Thanks.
Steve.

You will have to make a connection to the comfort / convenience relay, which is located under the rear seats.

This page may give you an idea, particularly step 13 onwards:

Not sure exactly which wires though.

As for the basic central locking, just connect the trigger wire of the kit to the green wire going to the vacuum pump, which is located on the other side of the rear seat.

Hi Steve--I have a Cobra alarm / immobilizer system on my 1993 W124 220te it works very well and will close windows and sunroof if button held is down a few seconds.
So it should be OK when sorted ?
Mine was fitted in 1996 long before I bought the car- but I believe Lotus cars were all fitted with the same system in those days?
