I replaced some corroded break pipes on my w124 . But now I'm trying to bleed the air out of the system. But cannot get a good pedal. Any tips ? I've tried to bleed from the top with help and tried pumping from the bleed screw back still no avail .

Is the brake fluid tank full to the mark .. its split in two and lots of people forget this. the rear segment some times is not full .Fill the flid tank and gravity bleed them ..open up to bleed and let gravity do it for you .

Do you have a mighty vac vacuum tool . You can draw the fluid through with that . Or pick up an Esybleed system that fits on to spare wheel to pressurise the system from the fill tank then just break open the nipple one at a time keeping catrch tank full all the time .

Dont have either but I have a couple of caps could probably make up something to put a slight bit of pressure in.

You need a tyre valve the nut retaining type . You dont nee much presure on the system to bleed it .
Put this number in Ebay search 360354247173 for more info on bleeding them its on the information so scrolle down the page to view it

The vacuum type do work well, but are a bu**er to seal to the bleed nipple to stop drawing in air.

I Know, but i like to see the fluid run clear with no air bubbles.
I just keep pulling it through until i know its come all the way from the master.

Bike pumps no good it must have pressure on the system all the time , not just one pump of cycle pump . Read the ebay listing for how to go about it even if you use your spare car tyre it must be deflated to the right pressure to bleed it to much it will spoil the seals .

if you don't deflate the spare tyre pressure you'll end up with fluid just about everywhere ..... apparently!

Ha ha yes and that's why I decided to go for a self contained pressure bleeder when my Gunson got old. The ideal pressure range for the spare tyre was quite narrow and I was forever topping it up just enough to keep in that range.
