Hi, I have an E320 cabriolet (1993) which requires a replacement plastic gear to repair one of the seat belt feeder mechanisms. As discussed in previous posts, Mercedes can only offer the entire mechanism at £300+VAT. I have enquired with a local engineering firm and they say that they can produce an individual gear for £80. As you would expect the costs per gear go down considerably the more one produces. So - anyone have the same issue and want to share the cost with me?
