Hi chaps,

I have an E200 W124 estate on a 1993, car has been a total dream for past years, with almost no problems at all as it reaches 200,000 miles.

However, in last 48 hours central locking has gone mad, doing what it wants when it wants, was mildly amusing at first but am moving home and can't lock my possessions in car - help!

I have no mechanical knowledge whatsoever - so was wondering if anyone one knew if there is a simple way to turn of central locking to get me through next 2-3 days before I take her to our usual Merc specialist garage.

Any help would be massively appreciated.

Big thanks.

Ben

Only by locking all the doors from inside and using the key on the drivers door

Thanks 'Televsion', alas have tried this, while rear passenger doors lock a treat, when pressing front passenger door lock down from inside they all go off like loons again before i have chance to key lock drivers side door.. - doh.

The house move is actually for my mum, from London to Cornwall so if you see a group of people locked in a car on the A30 you will know who it is!

You could pull the plug off the PSE pump

Where are you putting the best things in the car

Oh ok, that sounds good.

If i pull the plug on PSE Pump will doors all lock but just as per manual?

And can you tell a numptie like me where I can find the plug?

As for the best things, well i am a loyal son, so would have to say my Ma in the passenger seat...!
