Morning all!

Replaced the drivers window regulator (MB item) on Sunday. All working fine – however the new one ‘creaks’ – which is a little annoying.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Max

I’m going to whip it out next weekend (reg that is ) and give it the once over – was not in the mood to do again yesterday…

Check its operation with the door card removed and just watch for movement in the inner door frame, also have you checked all the fixings are tight...pop rivets or screws??

There is indeed a little flexing under operation on the inner door frame. Where the short ally runner is located.......

Loosen the fixings for the ally runner, wind the window up to the top and make sure the back edge of the glass sits back properly. Then nip up the ally runner with a little bit of tension on it

If the runner is too loose the back edge of the window doesn't sit back into the frame properly

While you're in there check the bolts for the door check strap are all tight
