W124 door seal -

Hello all,

I've noticed when washing my car that its door seals have a few nicks in them. Thankfully they don't leak and are exclusively cosmetic issues. One area on the n/s passenger door has some special looking tape applied.

My question is two fold.

a) Can anyone recommend a special 'door rubber seal tape' - if so what?

b) Replacement door rubber seals are £££ from MB. I have been quoted £85 + VAT for the n/s front door alone. What if any, are the other options?

I have never found out what that black net type tape is as fitted to many models where the rubber strip are prone to heavy wear, a google search should bring up something

Thanks M but google isn't working for me. I there is a brilliant repair to one seal on my car. Would love to get my hands on a roll or two

Thanks. I'll check these out and try one out. Seems very good value but need to verify its OE quality claim.
