About 26mpg then.

Do you put more than a pound in each time? Just wondering how you came up with 4miles/£? :D

Try putting in exactly one litre and waiting for the correct change !

.

I put fuel in the 220 Coupe at exactly the same times as Steve. When the orange light comes on,£40.

I get 200-230 miles, and have got used to driving it like a chauffeur.

I've noticed the similarity with my 2.2 16v engine as with my Audi Coupe 2.0 16v of the past.In that once the revs are in the mid range, you do get some pull. But as with the Audi, they're better suited to the V6 or in their case the lovely 5 pot engines (which were schizen on fuel  )

I have one of those 5 pot audi.

1986 last of the old coupe, shaped like the original Quattro.

white, (so a modern colour now) with the Qattro rings along the sides and
white spoiler on the boot lid.

.

Had the previous 2144cc in my 200 Turbo.

On the rare occassion it was bang on tune,it was much fun:p

Yours would of course be the 2226cc.Both engines highly addictive.

1996, 5sp auto, E320 Cabriolet, roof down driving at 100 (to 120 kph sometimes) on the open road with hills and a little bit of luggage for one = 28 - 29 mpg; enjoying the drive.

If I'm doing an economy run, roof up, I'll get 32, maybe a fraction more, but it is a pain to get more than that unless it is dead flat with no traffic.

Around town the figures can really drop to 24 mpg or sometimes 23 mpg in hot builtup rush hour type traffic.

But when you have one of these "ignorance at the pump" is the best policy. Just enjoy the car.
I tend to monitor consumption for early warning signs that something may be wrong - that's all.

I recently got 516 miles out of a full tank (run dry) from my 1996 E220 coupe. That works out at about 33mpg I think. It was mainly motorway work at 65mph, but with a full boot.
