First Aid Wheels in NW6 have my original 15" alloys for refurbishment and fitting of a new set of tyres (Michelin Energy Saver GRNX MO), and kindly lent me these... !!!

AMG 18" with Michelin 245/40 ZR 18s...

Very, very, noisy, hard ride, and, surprisingly, rather imprecise in the steering. Speed-bumps a new experience altogether. Old Continentals were very quiet, but the wear was very disappointing.

Call me dull, but I prefer the 8-holes. They will come back diamond-cut and lacquered. I've passed on re-polishing them - could buy a W124 for that!

Exactly what I found with the 20" on my CL, in my case the 18" are just wonderful:D:D

They look awful on that. 15" 8 holes are the way to go .

Ah, that's better!

Well, apart from the coolant leak, that is...

Nice people at First Aid Wheels http://www.fawheels.co.uk
