Hi All,

I have a mint 1992 W124 E300 24v, seen some nice 19" AMG one piece alloys. I think the ones that go on the S Class. I've been told the rim width is 9J with an offset of 31. Are these ok?

Regards

Thanks, the link doesn't bring up anything. So you say it can be done, any mods needed?

I think you'll struggle with the fronts hitting the arches but the only way to find out is to try. You'll need a 215/35 tyre or something like a 225/30 - my tyre size calculator doesn't go below 35 profile

You'd be increasing the unsprung weight quite dramatically and you may find the handling will feel strange & underdamped. The ride will be awful and the car will tramline like crazy but you'd expect that

As Bolide not a good idea, back in the old days there were wheel arch flaring tools, but 19" would leave virtually no side wall, the ride would be awful.

Hi TV,

Seen some nice rims the numbers are

2x 7.5x18" FRONTS Wheel: 7.5J x 18 ET 36

2x 8.5x18" REARS Wheel: 8.5J x 18 ET 30

been told that the front are too narrow, can this be solved with a spacer?

Nothing wrong with those wheels, the ET is spot on, the fronts are a touch narrow, but that is not that important
