I am hoping that someone can help.
I have a 1995 E320 4 speed auto with no ASR or cruise control.
I have rewired the engine loom and had to replace the ECU, which was fried!
I was told the replacement ECU A016 545 81 25 (purchased used) was compatible with the original ECU A016 545 80 25.
All seemed well at first, but I now have an issue where the car it giving DTC codes 5 and 8, and going into emergency mode (only revs to ~1500 rpm). The throttle body was also rewired at the same time as the engine loom, but has also been swapped out with no improvement.
My initial question is are the ECUs compatible?
