W124 ecu

Does anyone know if or how a immobiliser is in the engine ecu .

It had a infra red key . I have put the engine box . Engine loom and ecu in to a earlier w124, the same two plugs in the fuse box and two plugs from gearbox. It has no different wires on the engine loom going to car loom . So i cant see how it haves a immobilized ecu . I have no spark from coils everything else lives up and turns over .

if it's an option there should be a code for it? on the plaque thing?

Alarms are never incoperated in the ECU it will be a stand alone unit.
And each part in the electrical system must have the same part number on them, you cant just plug them in because the look the same . So you cant change early parts on to an new model .

All running now . And yes you can put newer parts on a older car . I have a 1990 230coupe and i have fitted s 1995 2.8 engine. Engine loom and ecu and it plugs into the car loom . My trouble was my crank sensor wire to ecu with shorting with its self
