W124 Estate - Cruise control

Currently looking around at the various W124 Estates on offer, but one thing that strikes me is that most of the E220s don't have cruise control. A lot of E280s don't seem to have it either. Is this something that only shows up on top of the line E320s ?

Our E220 Coupe has it, and I've gotten quiet used to using it on the motorway. In know the coupés were probably better optioned when new, but I thought cruise control would be very common. Guess not.

I bought a pukka new VDO one

and got the MB stalk from Merc Man. They crop up on German e-bay with metronomic regularity, if you don't mind used parts
