W124 Indicators wipers Rear demister probs

I know Davy 1 posted a similar thread, My inicators seem to have a mind of there own thy sometimes work then dont and when they dont nor does the rear window demister and also the wipers if i tap the area where the drivers heater vent is then sometimes this clears the problem!

Is there a problem with the indicator stalk or the relay, Please help

The control units for the demister could be dry jointed, but the thing is controlled from the N10 relay that is also for the indicators and wipers.

I would get a good non drying switch cleaner first and clean all of the fuse holders and fuses

I've just cleared a similar problem on my 1988 W124 estate, turned out to be a poor connection to the relay. As all of the connections were poor/dirty I've tightened as many as possible and sprayed contact cleaner all around. Problem gone !

so as not to start a whole new thread- i just changed one relay and now my fuel gauge is working! but where is the rear mist and wiper relay as suddenly my rear is not deminsting and my wiper will work but not on fastest setting which is tres annoying in heavy rain....is that the relay behind the one i just changed??
