Noticed this morning that my instrument lights have gone dim. The cluster is still evenly lit, just dim. If it was a bulb failure I'd have expected one area of the cluster to be dark? How do I remove the thing?

Where's Malcolm when you need him, I bet he'd know the answer

have you twiddled the dimmer by mistake

its the trip reset knob. If that's not it, then it might be the rheo itself. twiddle it a few times and observe the results. If not, it might be the fuse at the back. Search on here for dashboard removal, it's pretyy much the same technique for all. There's a good thread on it in w210 pixels somewhere.

If it was the fuse they would all be out not dimmed. As Myros posts turn the LH knob, the one that pushing resets the trip on the cluster face CW and they will come bright again.
This is a common question on mercs and audis, especialy when somebody cleans up their car interior.

Whale Oil Beef Hooked!

Every day is a school day! What a bizarre place to put a dimmer. That'll teach me to clean my car.

Thanks for the help guys
