Hi all searched but cannot find!

Is it possible to remove the lenses on my 1993 w124 E320 to clean the inside of them? What do i need to do to carry this out?

All advice greatfully received

The lens do come off, hard to do in the car, if mossy inside, then white vinegar 5% proof will desolve it, and it will not hurt the plastic

Take the headlights out and the lenses then come off quite easily

Cleaning the lenses is a good idea. But be vary careful as the silvering on the reflectors is extremely fragile

the headlamps must come out as you cant gain access to remove the lense properly otherwise..... make sure you unclip them carefully - the plastic can become brittle with age.... take it easy.

Many thanks guys.
Job now done and what a difference:D

I did however manage to get the lenses out without removing the lights! Removed the indicators, and carefully unclipped the lenses from the housings, bottom clips a bit of a pain but do-able. Well worth the effort to clean though.
