My 300TE has started to lose power steering fluid. The reservoir drains over about a month, you can see the fluid on the base of the steering box :( . Is there a seal I can replace easily, or am I up for a lot of £££? I'm reasonably competent and have plenty of tools.

Yes it's easy. You need to change the seal at the bottom of the steering box. You can do it 'in-situ', remove the steering arm (I think i'ts called a Pitman arm) a few bolts and you'r at the seal. Beware fluid will descend on you! The seal costs about £2 and is carried in stock by most dealers. Entire job takes about 2 hours max.

Fantastic... I'm pleased to hear it can be done in situ. It looks a pain to take the whole thing out. I'll do it next weekend (hopefully before I have to put another bottle of fluid through it)

thanks
