W124, M104 Engine Wiring harness

Hi,

I have an August 1st, 1993, E280 which has the W104 engine. Does my car potentially have a knackered engine wiring harness?.

Does this afflict cars from a certain chassis No onwards?

Is there any way of checking to see if its been done?

Lastly, if I have got one, I think I read somewhere, that as long as the car has been serviced by MB, they will still pay for a new wiring harness+fitting.....any truth in this?
