The left mainbeam fuse failed. I removed the old fuse and cleaned out the fuseholder, inserted new fuse. Still no lamp function. Replaced bulb just in case. The highbeam works so there is power at the lamp. Is there any other fuse or likely failure point to look at?

If the fuse had blown, then as STAR check the wire in the lamp holder

Found the problem - The lampholder and wiring are OK. The metal seating cup insert in the fuseholder has crumbled away, resulting in a loss of contact at the base of the fuse. The screwed wiring connection underneath is fine.
I notice the right hand low beam holder cup is also deteriorating. All the other fuseholders are OK. Can I get a replacement for the small metal cup?
