Hi,
The driver door lock on my W124 was stuck solid.
I ordered a replacement off the shelf lock and unmatched key from Mercedes.
I took out the door lock. It had a pole at the end with two small "wings".
The new lock was the same, but had another .5cm of pole with a multi-sided "wing" at the end. It wouldn't fit it. I had given them the VIN number.
So....
I took the passenger door lock out and put it in the drivers side.
I lubed up the drivers side lock and it freed up mostly, and put it in the passenger side, as it's rarely used.
Anyway, my central locking has always been a bit iffy on the passenger side. It works fine if you use the key in the passenger door, but if you use the drivers door it only sometimes goes up/down.
I would prefer if it ALWAYS worked or ALWAYS didn't work.
So I want to disconnect it. Inside the door trim is the plastic box for the central locking. It has 1 yellow pipe going into the bottom. There are also 2 flexible black pipes that probably have pipes inside them going into the unit.
How to I disconnect this door from the central locking without it affecting the other doors?
Thanks!
