w124 Sunroof drain pipes

Can anyone tell me where the rear drain pipe runs, is it in the B pillar or does it run down the rear C pillar.

The reason I ask is I am getting pooling water in the rear drivers footwell collecting in the depressions where the seat bolts to the floor. I thought it may be the plastic foil behind the door panels, but these are fine.

I have poured water into the open sunroof and it drains fine through the front coming out just behind the front foot wheel. When the water is directed towards the back of the sunroof I cant see it draining (although it was getting dark) and it appears to be gathering under the drivers seat. I think the drain hose may have become detached somewhere allowing water to gather inside.

Any help appreciated.

Long time past since you asked question, but I had (I think) exactly same problem with my SEC.
Could not fathom out where water was coming in, and it was on the rear passenger carpet, but not under it.

Have disposed of the car partly because I could not solve the problem and also because ABS was playing up and after 217k miles Engine was getting a little clattery.

Sat in the Car during pouring rain just to check it was not coming into Car via Sunroof.
Drain plugs under car removed - channels as clear as a bell.

Car on very slight slope to passenger side, for years without problem.

I have a feeling that the water must have been getting in either via the windows interface, being a pillerless coupe, or somehow via the rear windows drainage system. Quite where the water went to that drained down those rear windows was another mystery to me. Did it come out of by the rear footwells??? Looked in the boot for signs of piping.

Did you resolve the problem? I would be very interested to know.
