W124 sunroof maintenance

Anyway, finally got around to taking a look at the sunroof. It tilt's but wont slide, so i put it up and then sprayed Teflon spray anywhere mechanical looking, no joy! Had a go with winding it from the boot and it lowers on the drivers side but won't on the passenger side? Tried applying some pressure to the side that wasn't lowering but had no joy :neutral: Any more ideas?

I would love some for my sunroof if it is not too much trouble, not that I've had much chance to use it this year.

The sunroof relay is located on the motor . A plastic clip holds in in place )

Sorry to resurrect an old thread

On page 1 Wireman refers to the adjusting screw adjacent to the winding point.

Can anyone please confirm that the purpose of this screw is not to move the cable, but to adjust something behind the cable path?

My problem would seem to be that the plunger part of the adjuster has two slots which look like they should align into the female part at the back.

There is nothing to align these to, and I think therefore that the adjustment achieves precisely nothing.

Should I try and insert i screwdriver and give it a tweak?

Or does anyone have a better idea.

My symptoms are as descibed earlier in the thread.
