W124 Wing trim

Hi,
This is my first posting so please forgive any protocol errors.
I have a simple question to which I hope there is a simple answer. How does the plastic trim at the bottom of the front wings come off?

Hello and welcome, I should know this as I fitted them to my 124 back in 1990, but sadly we all get old

The reason why I give you this link is to show where the fixings are, as the holes in the cars are the same, and when I added the panels to my car, there were no hole to drill, so in this link you can see the fixing points only

So I assume the panel just pulls out from the clips as I cannot see any hidden screws etc.

The fixings may have a screw on the on the inside, the door trims come of easily,just one screw in the end and they slide out in keyhole slots,sideways on, had a feeling that there were the same slots in the wing, and you removed the one screw and the pulled forward and out

Hi Bryan,

If possible, can you post some pics of what you've taken off, showing how the clips fit? I'm just about to try the same, to get the front wing off. Much appreciated.

If it's any help to you, I've got the door moulding off, and can show you pics of how it clips on, and what type of clips are needed.
