W126 560 Sec Cruise Control Not Working

With the longer evenings I am finally sorting the little bits and bobs that need doing.

My cruise control does not work. Where and what should I check in simple order to identify the fault.

I am pretty good at following instructions but would welcome some insight as to where to start.

Thus far I have cleaned the fuse!
