W126 Headlight washer/wipers

Hello all,
First post, so I'd better introduce myself. My name is Onne, Dutchman living in the UK.
I've got a 1990 W126 300SE running on LPG

I've got a problem with my headlight washing system. Fuse is fine but there is a reference to a relay 86?

Any idea where this would be?
Any thoughts much appreciated!

The 86 you mention might be in reference to terminal 86 on the relay, the whereabouts of this relay on your car, I cant help with, but others may.

The control unit for this is 134
A 126 820 20 26 CONTROL UNIT
HEADLAMP WIPER/WASHER

terminal 86 is the switched live side of the relay solenoid, fed by the wiper stalk.

the relay itself is green, part number a126 820 20 26, mounted in the back of the fuse box under the bonnet i think.

most common issue will be failed wiper motors themselves, or poor conection on the torpedo fuse...

Found out that I've just been silly... Forgot that the headlight cleaning system only works with the lights on... So thank you very much for the help anyway! Much appreciated

Good on you one tip, if you want the headlamp wipers to park properly, hold the switch for more than 15 seconds and they will always park up, there is a mod to correct this
