Do the centre vents on a 1984 280SE blow just cold air?

I get warm on windscreen and floor. I have searched some of threads and am no clearer.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

I am not sure about the 280 but on the 380 the centre vents only blow cold.

There should be two vents next to the door on the dash. The top one should blow warm air.

centre vents

Your 280SE vents are fine. The 2 centre and the L & R all blow cold air. Whilst the windscreen and floor blow hot if desired. This system meant that you could drive safely and comfortably in winter without feeling drowsy ie cold air to your face, warm air to your feet and warm air to prevent the screen misting up. You can order a proper MB manual from the dealer. It's a helpful read and you only have to suffer visiting the dealership once to collect it.
